ONE
MAN BAND © 2003
I’ve titled this
collection of songs "One Man Band". I think this is appropriate
because the CD is me, singing and playing the guitar. That’s it, no other
instruments or background vocals. It’s kind of a return to the folk albums I
listened to when I first started out playing acoustic music. Those old classic
vinyl records are what inspired me to do what I do, and what I do is perform my
music "solo", by myself, a "one man band". So yeah, a CD of
me doing my thing the way I perform it makes sense.
I
began recording this CD over a year and a half ago, towards the end of 2001,
working on it whenever I could. The project was put on hold for two fantastic
tours to the British Isles with country artist Annie Sims. Eleven of the songs
on this CD are new. "I'd Rather Be An Outlaw" is a remake of
the band version on my second CD, "Out Of jericho".
