CROSSROADS
I
guess I could say, in a straight forward way,
I
made it through life to this day.
I
stumbled and fell, through heaven and hell
And
points in between on the way.
I
lived in a shack, with a view from the back,
Of
castles and fantasies.
I’d
look out my door,
And
want so much more,
Then
these young eyes were able to see.
I
traveled around, my feet settled down,
But
my heart was still yearnin’ to roam.
I
lived for a spell, with a lady from hell,
And
I learned how to live life alone.
I
made a few friends, I see now and then,
Most
people come and go.
Some
are special to me, and always will be,
Their
memories live in my soul.
I
now can be found,
In
a small southern town,
There’s
a lake sittin’ outside my door.
My
wife’s next to me,
My
daughter makes three,
And
her dog runnin’ round on the floor.
Some
moments in time, I see in my mind,
The
crossroads we reach now and then.
If
I had my say to relive one day,
I’d
live it the same way again.
If
I had my say to relive one day,
I’d
live it the same way again.
