SONGS OF BOB RAFKIN ©
2006
This CD, Songs Of Bob
Rafkin is a collection of the songs I perform in concert. I
originally conceived this project as a compilation CD, containing those
"concert" songs using the versions from my previous CDs. Since I was
putting together a collection of songs I perform live, I decided not to use the
band versions.
I re-recorded solo renditions,
vocal and guitar. Some of these renditions reflect a musical and lyrical
evolution of the songs. Three songs, Sweet Dreams,
I’d Rather Be An Outlaw and The Dance Of Life, are from the One
Man Band CD, originally recorded solo, vocal and guitar. I used those
versions on the new CD. When I recorded Gonna Go To Mexico for The
Circus Is In Town CD, I initially did so as a solo rendition and then added
other instruments and vocals. This new CD contains the original solo version.
Two new songs, Frankie Boy and
Flowers are included in this collection. I played these songs in a tuning
I recently started exploring called DADGAD. I hope you enjoy listening. I had a
great time recording.
